Seahawk "FAN"atics!

Every year I fly up to Seattle, my "hometown" to visit relatives and go to a Seahawk game!  Since we are a "house divided" here in San Clemente I thought it would be fun to go to the Seahawk/Niner game.  But husband Greg refused to go!  I do believe he was a little bit scared to witness what would happen to his Niners in the CLink!  And boy was it a scary game for all those Niner faithfuls!  No one beats us at home.  The homefield advantage is just that. . . a huge advantage!  It is (and not even probably) the LOUDEST stadium in the NFL!  Yes, the Guinness Book of World Records was there to record the 12th man and yes, we did it!  136 decibels beat the previous record at some soccer stadium!  It is truly amazing to be in that stadium cheering on our Hawks.  The fans in Seattle are fun, crazy, loud, faithful and don't even mind the rain and lightening!  We had a great time tailgating and partying at Hooverville Bar.  We met great people and just had a wonderful time in Seattle.  We will probably fly up to SF to watch the Hawks/Niner game in the "Stick"!  Let's just hope we play as well as we did in Seattle!!!

The 12th "man"

I am a diehard Seattle Seahawk fan, or more commonly known in Seattle as the "12th Man"!  I was born and raised in Bellevue Washington and have watched the Seahawks since the day they moved into the Kingdome.  We had season tickets for the first 4 years and then my dad passed away and we gave the tickets to a relative.  Moving to Southern California didn't change my football allegiance (really though, what team here in SoCal is there to root for??).   If you have never been to CenturyLink Field in Seattle, you are missing a great (and very loud) experience.  That aside, I am also an "empty nester".  My daughter just graduated from CSU Fullerton and is now working in L.A. as a staff writer for Tiger Beat Magazine.  Max is at CSU Fullerton and living up there and Joe is going to Saddleback and CSU Fullerton (long story) and even though he technically lives here, he is gone most of the time.  So you see, football season came around at a great time and gave me something to really look forward to!  To complicate things a little, my husband is a 49er fan, so we are a true "house divided" especially during that matchup!
